What an eventful trip, as I had the awesome privilege of ministering in the cities of Trinidad and Ascensión, and in the small community of Santa María. A wonderful aspect of this trip was that my sister, Melody, was able to accompany and join me in ministry. Memories returned as we reflected on those unforgettable childhood days growing up in Bolivia, where our parents sacrificially gave over 40 years of their lives serving Jesus.
We held eight evangelistic meetings (six outdoors), one youth rally (over 100 present), and a number of TV, radio, and newspaper interviews. Melody beautifully ministered to the women, who were moved and touched by God’s Spirit.
The Lord wonderfully blessed as about 80 sought Christ for the first time, and 52 were spiritually reconciled. Others sought healing or made commitments toward sexual purity. Two city mayors also received a Bible and were prayed for.
The graciousness and hospitality of the Bolivian people was remarkable, along with the ardent work of Pastor Victorino, the trip’s organizer and coordinator. God’s blessing and favor was very evident.
Please pray that the new born-again Christians will remain strong in the faith and that the Bolivian church will never lose its evangelistic zeal.
