Director of Speakers

Jerry joined the FAS staff in 2013. For the previous 17 years, he and his wife, Jan, served as missionaries in Europe with the Free Methodist Church, the last 11 years as the Area Director for continental Europe.Jerry leads the team of Francis Asbury Society speakers who, together, have many years of ministry experience carrying the Good News to over 50 countries. In 1988 he received a call to Jesus for spiritual awakening, which was confirmed in 1989 when he attended the first Francis Asbury Society Spiritual Awakening Conference. Jerry believes “the deep personal call for the nations in 1988 and a love for the people of all cultures helps to prepare me for the challenges and opportunities with FAS.”

A career in the family business was redirected when Jerry felt a call to full-time ministry in the early 1980s. He was ordained in 1987 in the Free Methodist Church. Jerry pastored two churches in the U.S.A. and served in the home office for Free Methodist World Missions before moving with his family to Europe in 1996.

Jerry has earned a B.A. degree in 1984 (religion and culture emphasis) from Greenville College(Greenville, IL) and an M.Div. degree in 1990 from Asbury Theological Seminary (Wilmore, KY).

Jerry and Jan have three adult children: Sarah (Russell), Kristin, and David (Alison) and a granddaughter (Cora).
